Utsav has nineteen locations worldwide, all in distinctive location, and its New York outpost is no different. Utsav New York is a two story restaurant located in the heart of Times Square—quite a location in the midst of all the New York City buzz. Escape the noise of the city, and be greeted by a gently cascading waterfall at the cozy lounge on Utsav’s lower level, making it a perfect place to enjoy expertly made cocktails and flavorsome Indian snacks after a long day at work.

The upstairs main dining room is spacious and serene, and its floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlook an open air plaza. Utsav is the word for “festival” in India and the menu celebrates the subcontinent’s cuisine by blending Northern and Southern essences while adding some non traditional twists. With dishes such as Kerela shrimp curry and ginger rack of lamb, it isn’t a wonder that its patrons rave about it.
Sit at one of their window booths and enjoy the entire view of the open air plaza while sipping a delicious "Utsavpolitan" and eating your favorite dish of Chicken Tikka Masala. But don’t think that Indian favorite is the only thing Utsav has to offer. Begin with their creative appetizers, and prepare your palate for traditional main course entrees such as Nargisi Kofta, Tandoori Mixed Grill or Methi Matar Malai. For a more creative experience, try the Tandoori Chicken Roll (their signature dish). Dessert is always delicious at Utsav, so make sure to save room.
Not only does Utsav serve delicious food in a great environment, they are also very reasonably priced for a fine dining restaurant. Utsav offers a lavish “all you can eat” lunch buffet served daily for $17.95, and a $30 Broadway special prix fixe dinner from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Utsav also offers $22 meal special for firms. Experience this Indian gem for yourself.

Two hours for a delivery promised in 30-40 minutes! When we called the restaurant, they said that they had sent 18 orders out with one delivery guy and promised we'd get ours in 10 minutes (even though they never asked our name). Ten minutes more have come and gone. Warning: Don't use this restaurant unless you are prepared to wait more than 2 hours for your meal!

Best Indian food in New York city, very authentic and sticks to the true spicy Indian flavor - every dish I have tried has been great! Keep up the great work.

The food is not worth the wait for delivery. While on seamless they have posted that it takes 25-40 minutes, the ACTUAL WAIT IS 1.5 HOURS. If you have ordered food, it will arrive cold or soggy and they will provide no customer service for your inconvenience. There is definitely better Indian food that will not make you wait as long as this place does.

The time estimate was 25-40 minutes. It is 100 minutes later and I still do not have my food. I called and they put the manager on the phone. He starts screaming at me over the phone out of nowhere telling me about how the weather is wet and slippery. I don't care if the food takes 3 hour to get here but you need to indicate that on seamlessweb so I know not to order from you. And you never, ever yell at the customer, especially when it's your mistake. I hate this place. My food still has not arrived. 102 minutes and counting.

Very good food - very authentic. I did not appreciate the wait though.. The order took almost an hour and a half to arrive!

Delivery estimate was 30-45 minutes. Weather is fine. It has been an hour and a half and all calls in the last 30 minutes result in the answer that the order "has left the restaurant" which is 4 blocks away.

Found the food here to be very very oily. I would say most of all the Indian places on Seamless, and I have tried them all. Eating this regularly could cause heart problems...and weight problems for sure...

One star for being OK. I have no idea how this place got so many stars. I would not eat from here again with so many other GREAT indian places in the city.

Food came and it was good, but barely warm and it took double the time it said.

Jeez - how long to deliver?!!? I live on 38th and 6th so its not that far away - but the order CONSISTENTLY takes well over an hour to deliver. And most of the time the food is cold and has to be reheated in the microwave. The food is genuinely good though - i love the vegetable samosas - and the vindaloo was just right - but to be honest its been one late delivery too many and there are many other Indian restaurants that deliver the same standard of food, for much cheaper, far quicker and ready to eat.
