The upstairs main dining room is spacious and serene, and its floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlook an open air plaza. Utsav is the word for “festival” in India and the menu celebrates the subcontinent’s cuisine by blending Northern and Southern essences while adding some non traditional twists. With dishes such as Kerela shrimp curry and ginger rack of lamb, it isn’t a wonder that its patrons rave about it.
Sit at one of their window booths and enjoy the entire view of the open air plaza while sipping a delicious "Utsavpolitan" and eating your favorite dish of Chicken Tikka Masala. But don’t think that Indian favorite is the only thing Utsav has to offer. Begin with their creative appetizers, and prepare your palate for traditional main course entrees such as Nargisi Kofta, Tandoori Mixed Grill or Methi Matar Malai. For a more creative experience, try the Tandoori Chicken Roll (their signature dish). Dessert is always delicious at Utsav, so make sure to save room.
Not only does Utsav serve delicious food in a great environment, they are also very reasonably priced for a fine dining restaurant. Utsav offers a lavish “all you can eat” lunch buffet served daily for $17.95, and a $30 Broadway special prix fixe dinner from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Utsav also offers $22 meal special for firms. Very good food - very authentic. I did not appreciate the wait though.. The order took almost an hour and a half to arrive!

Delivery estimate was 30-45 minutes. Weather is fine. It has been an hour and a half and all calls in the last 30 minutes result in the answer that the order "has left the restaurant" which is 4 blocks away.

Found the food here to be very very oily. I would say most of all the Indian places on Seamless, and I have tried them all. Eating this regularly could cause heart problems...and weight problems for sure...

Jeez - how long to deliver?!!? I live on 38th and 6th so its not that far away - but the order CONSISTENTLY takes well over an hour to deliver. And most of the time the food is cold and has to be reheated in the microwave. The food is genuinely good though - i love the vegetable samosas - and the vindaloo was just right - but to be honest its been one late delivery too many and there are many other Indian restaurants that deliver the same standard of food, for much cheaper, far quicker and ready to eat.

If you're looking for a nice Indian midtown lunch, this is the place to go. The lunch time menu is buffet style but here are my three favorite dishes: <br><br> Baingan Mirch Ka salan - eggplant and hot peppers cooked in coconut and sesame sauce <br><br> Tandoori mug - cornish hen marinated in yogurt and spices- you need a side of Raita for this <br><br> Saag paneer- which is my usual order at any indian restaurant- spinach and cubes of cheese <br><br> The decor is simple, good lighting, understated. The prices are a little high, but like I titled, come for business lunch.
